Yes, you read that correctly. Even if you’re not “a Karen” but your name is simply Karen, you’ve pulled the short end of the stick when it comes to online dating.

According to dating app Wingman, women with the name Karen are having a much tougher time finding love.

For those who don’t know (which, how?) This is why:

Middle-aged woman, typically blonde, makes solutions to others’ problems an inconvenience to her although she isn’t even remotely affected.

A ‘Karen’ is a woman that when asked to wear a mask at a store she makes a scene instead. Karens are also the type of people to call the police on people for simply existing. You know the ones.

Unfortunately, the shady reputation has tarnished the reputations of ALL Karens, even those simply named Karen at birth to no fault of their own.

Even while people are getting zombied, poor Karens can’t even get a match back. According to the app, women with the name Karen matched 21% less with people than the year before.

Don’t be discouraged, Carens, Karins, different variations of the name are getting rejected much less!

And as for the Karens who just hold the name without the terrible personality traits, some have used disclaimers in their bios to separate themselves from THE Karens.
