The iHeart Radio Music Festival is one of the hottest fests of the year! It’s an annual 2-day music festival hosted in Las Vegas on September 20th-21st.

It attracts some of the hottest names in pop culture and entertainment. With some of the biggest names in attendance like Alicia Keys, Chance The Rapper, and Halsey, to name a few.

To get you properly ready, though, here are a few fun facts about the musicians who will light up the stage in September!

1. Camila Cabello

She’d told Buzzfeed that somebody stopped her at the airport once to ask if she was Selena Gomez. Oopsies.

2. Halsey

Halsey released her first debut single “Ghost” while she was still unsigned and it was SUCH a hit that she got a friend to pretend to be her manager while she weighed offers from record labels.

3. French Montana

French Montana was SHOT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD!

“So I come out the studio, I’m walking like this. All I see is just two n*****..two hammers [guns], at my head. As soon as everybody started moving in on me, everybody ran. So I’m the only one stuck. I’m stuck, feel me? I got shot [in the] back of my head. Somebody died back there.”

4. Miley Cyrus

She founded a non-profit called Happy Hippies whose goal is to “to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations.”

5. Chance The Rapper

Chance The Rapper’s great-grandma marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr. That political activism runs in the family, I guess. Like great-grandma, like great-grandson!

6. Marshmello

Did you know that he refuses to take off his marshmallow-shaped helmet and refuses to conduct any interviews because he just doesn’t want to be famous? All he’s trying to do is this:

“I’m genuinely trying to create something positive for people to connect with.”

7. Billie Eilish

Billie’s brother, Finneas (YES, THAT’S HIS NAME!) helps her create her music. He produced all 14 songs on When we fall asleep, where do we go?

8. Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys loves performing with her extremely talented son, Egypt.

9. Def Leppard

Def Leppard (initially Deaf Leopard) had their very first concert in 1978 in their hometown’s high school gym. Apparently, only 6 people showed up and the band smuggled beer by hiding it in the drum kit!

10. Zara Larsson

Zara won Sweden’s Got Talent when she was 10 years old.

YUP, SHE WAS WINNING WORLD-RENOWNED TALENT SHOWS WHILE YOU AND I WERE STILL RUNNING AROUND THINKING THE OPPOSITE SEX HAD GODDAMN COOTIES.

11. Maren Morris

Maren was actually REJECTED by NOT ONE, but BOTH, American Idol and The Voice. But she’s happy they did because look at where it’s got her!

12. Cage The Elephant

And last but not least, the first time they played at Lollapalooza back in 2007, Lady Gaga (who was not yet famous) was their opener and made her debut!
